St. Nicholas' Church
(Kościół Św. Mikołaja)
St. Nicholas' is one of oldest churches in Gdańsk. While a smaller St. Nicholas' church was located nearby possibly from around 1185, the current church building was started in 1348.
The church features rich original baroque and rococo decorations and houses a 35-stop organ in a splendid case dating back to 1755.
It is the only church in the centre of Gdańsk which survived world war two largely without damages. |
